What is the purpose of the cables? What are they responsible for?
These cables drive the door locking pins.
What are the metal plates shown and what are they for?
The metal plates are the cable housings holders which attach the housings to the bodywork of the vehicle. It is not always possible to place the housings in a closed space of the car to prevent them from falling down. They must be "anchored" for the lock to work properly.
Why are the cables routed the way they are?
The method of routing the cables is essential for the correct operation of the lock, therefore the method of routing them is indicated in the CARGO-LOCK assembly manuals.
Is a different CARGO-LOCK designed for each car model?
There is a different CARGO-LOCK for each car model, unless they are twin cars (one car model produced by different companies) such as: Fiat Scudo, Peugeot Expert, Citroen Jumpy, Toyota Proace.
In cars with high rear cargo doors, an electric actuator is additionally installed, and its task is to increase the effectiveness of the CARGO-LOCK.
What makes the CARGO-LOCK effective?
All the elements locking the cargo door are inside the cargo space and cannot be accessed from the outside.
How to use such a lock? Is turning the key enough to open / close the CARGO-LOCK?
To close / open the lock, it is enough to turn the key - a K lock.
In the case of K lock, it is closed without the use of a key, a key is required to open it.
How does it happen that after turning the key the lock protects against theft?
After turning the key, the cables driving the lock's pins begin to move in the housings. The pins that slide out of the lock's pipes hit the specially designed door stoppers and block their opening.
What is the price range for installing such a lock?
The price of the lock installation varies between PLN 1,300 and PLN 2,000 and depends on the region of Poland in which the installation takes place. The companies cooperating with Bear-Lock are independent companies and they decide on their pricing policy.
